Carolyn Herriot is author of ‘A Year On The Garden Path, a 52-Week Organic Gardening Guide’, as well as an educator and regular columnist for GardenWise and Common Ground magazines. After 20 years operating The Garden Path Nursery she now grows certified organic ‘Seeds of Victoria’ at The Garden Path in Victoria.
Carolyn’s new book ‘The Zero Mile Diet – A Year-round Guide to Growing Great Organic Food’ (Harbour Publishing) will be released in April 2010. ‘The Zero Mile Diet’ is about securing food security in uncertain times, and taking the load off the planet, by going back to the garden to grow more food. It is based on Carolyn’s personal experience of achieving year round self-sufficiency in organic fruits and vegetables in only 5-years at The Garden Path. It teaches sustainable methods of homegrown food production, including saving seeds, cooking and preserving the harvest.
